As well as becoming Holistic healers and spiritual counselors, Mesa Creative Arts founders Brad and Kate Silberberg have been creating works of art and craft in a wide variety of materials for most of their lives. Starting when they were each very young, both were drawn to participate in the creative process as a form of self-expression and a way to reach out to others.
Brad is a skilled metal artist, sculptor, and blacksmith, working in hot forged and cold worked steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and stainless steel as well as carved wood and stone, glass, and other materials. His specialty has been decorative and sculptural forged ironwork, including architectural work like railings and gates, furniture, lighting, jewelry, tools, and free standing sculpture.
Kate's talents are more in the areas of drawing, painting, calligraphy, beadwork, leather work, and ceramics. Her specialties include paintings, pastel and pencil drawings, painted furniture, healing jewelry, (beading with intention) and crafts influenced by Native American culture.
Both artists' work strongly reflects their interest in spirituality, healing the planet, ancient cultures, multiculturalism, and co-creating "art that heals” with the help of spiritual energies. Kate and Brad collaborate in their artwork and have greatly influenced each other's work. They support and encourage each other to experiment with and use new materials and to find ways to overcome their inner fears and allow the full expression of their Souls to emerge.
